By the numbers: the business value of HP networking solutions

More and more businesses are looking for ways to simplify their networks by integrating their wired and wireless systems (for example, with HP Converged Campus Network). It’s a white paper from market intelligence and advisory firm IDC:Enhancing Business Value with HP Wireless Networking Solutions.

IDC studied the ROI achieved by six organizations that implemented HP wireless networking solutions in production environments, and supplemented that data with information from its Business Value database of over 3,000 companies.

A couple of things leap out at me from this report. The first is lower TCO for the network as a whole, a reduction of 47 percent on average. The second is faster application deployment – users were able to reduce the time to provision new services by 83 percent. That’s a crucial number, because users are getting more and more demanding, and many IT departments are looking for ways to deploy all types of user applications faster.

How do HP solutions deliver these benefits? Basically, it's by giving you the ability to view and manage your wired and wired networks as an integrated whole. You can identify service bottlenecks and resolve issues more easily. And because you’re not tied to two or more management tools, you can configure and roll out new services at the speed of business.
